Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a block-chain based registration system. It is implemented in the public interest to control the SMS spam.
Whoever wants to send promotional bulk sms or transactional SMS to their customers needs to be DLT registered.
How do I register Myself as an entity?
Go to the portal of any operator by whom you want to be registered. Fill all the necessary details and upload all required documents.

Why DLT is Mandatory?
TRAI has taken this step to prevent customers from Unsolicited Commercial Communication which were annoying customers as fraud calls & SMS. So, according to TRAI’s regulation, DLT registration is mandatory to continue further telecom services.
Which documents do I need for KYC for DLT?
For KYC, you need documents like proof of authorized signatory, Self-certification by authorized signatory required on letterhead with name, designation and seal, Proof of Identity, POA: Proof of Address, Consent letter from parent entity, Service Agreement on Rs 100 stamp paper, Pan Number (Entity), GST Number(Govt.), Aadhaar Number of Authorized Signatory.
Process
New Entity and Header/Sender ID registration :
— (1) Kindly follow to do Entity and Sender Id (Header) Registration. ( Note – Airtel / Vodafone/ Jio provides faster on boarding procedure )
— (2)Once you get entity registration, Add Header – Here you need to insert the sender id which you will use for sending sms.
— (3 ) Register yourself Under Telemarketer – Add Our Telemarketer ID ( 1102572910000033555 )
Once you get Entity ID, you can also register with other operators by uploading KYC.

Why is DLT Mandatory?
DLT registration implemented by TRAI prevents customers from Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC). It will restrict businesses from sending spontaneous messages and fraud calls to customers.
According to TRAI's guidelines, DLT registrations are mandatory for bulk SMS providers to continue providing valuable telecom services. In short, DLT registration is compulsory to prevent any fraudulent practices.
Telemarketer DLT Registration Process
STEP 1: Choose as a telemarketer.
STEP 2: Select the Aggregator function.
STEP 3: On asking, "Have you registered with any other mobile operator DLT network?" click on 'No'.
STEP 4: Enter your business PAN number.
STEP 5: Wait for the OTP verification code.
STEP 6: Verify your Email Address.
STEP 7: Log in to the portal.
STEP 8: Fill in the required details and upload all necessary documents.
STEP 9: On completing all the steps mentioned above, you will get your DLT Registration Number.
Note: You will get your Telemarketer DLT Registration Number within 72 hours of KYC upload.
Enterprise DLT Registration Process
STEP 1: Choose as an Enterprise.
STEP 2: On asking, "Have you registered with any other mobile operator DLT network?" click on 'No'
STEP 3: Enter your business PAN number.
STEP 4: Fill in the form with necessary details.
STEP 5: Wait for the OTP verification code.
STEP 6: Verify your Email Address.
STEP 7: Log in to the portal.
STEP 8: Upload the requ ired documents.
STEP 9: On completing all the steps mentioned above, you will get your Enterprise DLT Registration Number.
Note: You will get your Enterprise DLT Registration Number within 72 hours of KYC upload.
Documents Required for DLT Registration
For the KYC process for DLT registration, you need to submit the following documents.
Proof of Authorized Signatory
Proof of Identity
Proof of Address
Self-certification by authorized signatory required on letterhead with name, designation, and seal
Consent letter from the parent entity
Service Agreement on Rs 100 stamp paper
Company/Organization PAN Card
Company GST (In case you do not have GST, please submit a declaration on company letterhead)
Authorized Person ID (PAN/VOTER ID/AADHAAR)
Consent Letter to Telemarketer – On Company Letter Head
Authorization Letter (Client) – On Company Letter Head
Sender ID Authorization – On Company Letter Head
